Ida Parker dies at 100

PARKER, Ida May - 100, Owls Head Harbour, Halifax Co., died March 22, 1995, in the Birches. Born in Ecum Secum, she was a daughter of the late John and Sarah (MacDonald) Pye. She was a member of the United Church of Canada. Surviving are daughters, Helen (Mrs. Roy Laybolt), Owls Head; Evelyn (Mrs. Lloyd Eisan), Ship Harbour; son, Calvin, Owls Head; 18 grandchildren; 39 greatgrandchildren; 27 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur; daughter, Irene; a grandson; two great-grandsons; a great-great-granddaughter; sisters, Viola, Aurelia, Rose, Annie; brothers, Cecil, Lloyd, Spencer, Freeman. Visitation 7-9 p.m. tonight, funeral 2 p.m. Saturday in Rowling's Funeral Home, Musquodoboit Harbour, Rev. Carnahan officiating. Burial to follow in Clam Harbour United Church Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations to the Birches.
