PHILIP WORTMAN DOWLING, baptized Dec 3, 1800 at Trinity Anglican Church in Marshallton, Digby Co., married BARBARA DILLON and had a son JOHN THOMAS born July 9, 1820 and baptized Nov 20, 1820 at Trinity Anglican Church. PHILIP married JANE BALCOMB at this same church in 1823. PHILIP AND JANE BALCOMB DOWLING had at least 3 more children: EMALINE b 16 Dec 1824, JACKSON b ??, died 1890, PHOEBE ANN (my grgrandmother) b Feb 22, 1834 at Marshalltown, Digby. Newcomb Harris, b. February 7, 1885, in Digby, NS, moved to Massachusetts, m. Ethel V. Kendall. In 1917 he moved to Peterboro, NH, where he died in 1964. This info taken from the obituary of his son, Vernon Harris, my uncle. It's all I have. I appreciate all the help!!! Wayne

Looking for Info on Griffith Jenkins who came to Sissaboo from NJ some time between 1750 & 1777 with his wife Mary Doane (or Moore?) and I believe the following children: Sarah B Dec 4, 1764; Robert B Nov 8, 1765; Griffith B Apr 23, 1768; Jane B Apr 10, 1770 D 1770; Jane B Sep 15 1772; James B Feb 22 1775; John B May 20 1777 D 1777; John B Feb 9 1781; Susan B Mar 11 1783 and William B Apr 17 1785 Would like any info for these people for while they lived in Digby area. I know that after Griffith Senior died the family moved to Yarmouth. I have a lot of information for James, John & William. I also know that Robert and Griffith Jr went to New Brunswick at some point. The people I am particluarly interested in (I haven't found any info on) are Sarah, Robert Griffith (JR) and Susan (she married Rev Joshua Wingate Weeks) Would also welcome any info anyone might have on Griffith Senior and his wife. Also, I believe that he may have come to the Digby area with possibly a brother - David. If this is so would love to get any information on him any one has as I have not been able to find anything so far.

Ebenezer Washburn was born Sept. 13, 1746 in New Milford, Ct. His wife's name was Mary_____. Ebenezer was in the Rev. war in Cpt.Meads Co. 1777. Went over to the British side after 1778. Arrived in Annapolis from NY on Two Friends July 30, 1784. Ebenezer, 9 in all, answered muster roll at Annapolis Digby Twp, believed to have settled in Clements, Annapolis Co. Mar. 8, 1786. 1787,1788 & 1797 sold land Gullivers Hole & Digby Neck.

George PURDY and Hannah MACKENNA, born Oct. 29, 1846, married about 1865. They lived in Upper Clements, Digby County. Their children were George Davenport, John Bernard born July 21, 1902, Dorothy Thomas and Lida Hodgdon. Looking for George's parents and any info on children.
John Bernard was living in Vineyard Haven at the time of his mother's death in 1938/39. John was married to Georgianna Veo Canning and they had one child, my mother Bertha Myrtle Grace on March 10, 1903. Would like to know any info on his later years.

Alonzo Ossinger born c. 1856 Tiverton son of Thomas and Elizabeth. Please, does anyone know of or could find a marriage for him?
