My ancestor, Daniel PURDY is shown in the Trinity Parish Church records in May,1792 when he married Mary Jane BURNS. There is evidence that their son, Obadiah PURDY was born in St Mary's Bay in 1797. They had at least 3 other children, Henry, 1793, Mary (Taylor) & Lavinia (Elliott),1803. The family moved to Elgin Co Ontario in 1815. Looking for Daniel's ancestry, place of birth and death. (his will was read in 1849)
