NUNN, James B.
- SUMMERVILLE, James Benjamin Nunn, well known and highly
respected resident of Summerville, Hants Co., passed away at his
home on Sunday morning, October 9, 1938, at the age of
eighty-seven years. Mr. Nunn was the son of the late Samuel John
and (Desire) Alice (Marsters) Nunn. At the age of twelve years,
he went to work in his father's shipyard, and in later years we
would have heard him say that "he could build a boat from stem
to stern." He was also an excellent house finisher. Mr. Nunn was
twice married, his first wife being the late Eulaliah Mosher. Of
this union there were three children: Alden (deceased); Alberta
of Manchester, Mass.; and Roy of Chelsea, Mass. His second wife
was the late Janey Ells of Windsor. Of this union there were
nine children: Lillian (Mrs. G. W. Wallace), of Marlboro, Mass.;
Muriel (Mrs. H. W. MacDonald), Gloucester, Mass.; Mary (Mrs. R.
M. Card), of Centre Burlington; J. Clyde, Brookline, Mass;
Violet (Mrs. J. J. Stinson), Marion, Mass.; Ewart, West Quincy,
Mass; George, at home; and Alice (Mrs. Elliott P. Hirsch),
Quincy, Mass. One daughter died in infancy.
