McELHINEY, Miss Almeda G. - 83, died Friday at Keddy's Nursing Manor after a lengthy illness. She was born in Windsor, Nova Scotia, a daughter of the late George W. and Mabel (Smith) McElhiney. Miss McElhiney resided in Halifax prior to and during the First World War, where she became known as a vocalist, taking part in many concerts and serving as a soloist in some of the city churches. Later she was identified with Mount Allison Ladies College in Sackville (as an accountant) and moved to California during the 1920s, where she remained until her retirement, then returning to Windsor and Wolfville to reside. She had made her home in Halifax during the past seven years. Miss McElhiney is survived by a sister, Mrs. Harold S. Anslow, in Windsor, and a brother, C.R. McElhiney, in Halifax. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

DEARMAN, Robert Grant - infant son of Kenneth and Donna (Milett) Dearman of Scotch Village, Hants County, died yesterday morning in Payzant Memorial Hospital. Surviving besides his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Dearman of Scotch Village, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Milett of Sudbury, Ont. The body is at the R. D. Lindsay Funeral Home, Windsor. Funeral service will be held today at 1:30 p.m. in St. James Anglican Church, Brooklyn, with burial in the church cemetery.

FIELDING, Austin Largo - 91, of Newport Station, Hants County, died Thursday in Stevens Nursing Home, Windsor. Born in Newport Station, he was a son of Edward and Maria (Dill) Fielding. Surviving are three sisters, Jessie (Mrs. Sydney Lunn), Three Mile Plains; Mrs. Lenore Foley, Trenton, Mich.; and Mrs. Hattie Donnelly, Halifax. The body is at the R. D. Lindsay Funeral Home, Windsor, where funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m., with Rev. Gerald Steeves officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor.

WILE, Frederick E. - 56, of Windsor died yesterday in the Victoria General Hospital, from injuries received in an automobile accident at Mount Uniacke. Born in Falmouth, he was the son of Mrs. Bessie (Deal) and the late Willard Wile, of Mount Denson. He was a veteran of the Second World War. Surviving are his wife the former Vivian McCann; five daughters, Geraldine (Mrs. Robert Findlay), Sackville; Sharon (Mrs. Martin Lacombe), West Riverview, N.B.; Judith (Mrs. Judith Hoyt), Dartmouth; Wendy, Dartmouth; Pamela at home; one son, Frederick Jr., at home; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Crosby, Annapolis Royal; Mabel (Mrs. Carl Ogilvie), West LaHave; two brothers, Cecil, Middleton; Lawrence, Germany; five grandchildren. The body is at Lohnes' Funeral Home, Windsor. Funeral service will be held in the Baptist Church, Windsor. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery.

MacLEOD, Mrs. Sophia Elizabeth - 83, Three Mile Plains, widow of William MacLeod, died yesterday in the Payzant Memorial Hospital, Windsor. Born in Three Mile Plains, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Lucy (Swinamer) Dykens. She is survived by two daughters, Shirley (Mrs. John Shanks), Three Mile Plains, and Ethel (Mrs. Frank Spence), Hartville; nine sons, Silas, Sweet's Corner; William, Walter and Ronald, all of Newport Station; Roy and Daniel, both of Windsor; Harry, Three Mile Plains; and Sidney and Gordon.
