RAFUSE, Maurice
Victor - 64, Windsor, died Monday, September 30, at the
Payzant Memorial Hospital. He was a son of Mrs. Ethel (King)
Rafuse and the late Kempton Rafuse. He was a theater manager in
Windsor for 50 years, a member of Pesaquid Lodge, IOOF; the
Welsford Masonic Lodge and the Hants County branch, Royal
Canadian Legion, of which he was a past president. He was a
veteran of World War II. Surviving besides his mother are six
sisters, Mildred (Mrs. George Brown), Gwen (Mrs. Donald Dunlop),
Jean (Mrs. Eugene Morrison), all of Truro; Helen (Mrs. William
Akens), Falmouth; Vivian (Mrs. Cecil Squires), Halifax; Joy
(Mrs. Allan Gorman), Toronto; two brothers, Manning, Windsor;
Clyde, Toronto. The body rested at the Lohnes Funeral Home.
Funeral service was held today at 2 pm at the Windsor Baptist
Church, Rev. Gerard Steeves officiating. Interment was at
Maplewood Cemetery, (Windsor).

BOWMAN, Mrs.
William Bowman - 85, Garlands Crossing, died Monday in
Payzant Memorial Hospital, Windsor. Born in Garlands Crossing,
she was the former Laura Ettinger, a daughter of the late
William and Sarah (Pemberton) Ettinger. Surviving are a
daughter, Susie (Mrs. George Sabean), Windsor; a son, Earl,
Garlands Crossing; several grandchildren and
great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild. She was
predeceased by her husband; a son, Clarence; two sisters, Rose,
Maggie; five brothers, George, Frank, Clarence, Harry, Roland.
The body is at R.D. Lindsay's Funeral Home, Windsor where
funeral service will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. A.W.
Fudge will officiate. Burial will be in St. Croix cemetery.
