HAWKINS, Mrs.
Albro - Upper Kennetcook - Mrs Albro Hawkins, 48, died
Saturday at her home. Born in Windsor, she was the former Ethel
Hennigar, a daughter of Mrs. Mildred (Weir) Garvy and the late
Bertrand Hennigar. Surviving besides her husband and her mother,
are two daughters, Edith (Mrs. Andy White), Dartmouth; Debbie,
at home; three sons, Benjamin, James and David, all at home;
seven sisters, Kay (Mrs. Carl Anthony), Kennetcook; Lucy (Mrs.
Glyn Garry), Mission City, B.C.; Evelyn (Mrs. Reginald Anthony),
Stanley; Lillas (Mrs. Harold Green), Sackville; Stella (Mrs.
Philip Reader), Helen (Mrs. Lewis Hanes) and Edith (Mrs. Reuben
Miller), all of Upper Kennetcook; three brothers, Sidney,
Kennetcook; Henry, Upper Kennetcook and Ralph, Alberta. She was
predeceased by a brother. The body is at Withrow and MacMillan's
Funeral Home, Upper Rawdon. Funeral service will be held 7 p.m.
Tuesday in St. Peter's Anglican Church, Upper Kennetcook, Rev.
William Hebden officiating. Burial will be in the church
cemetery.

BROWN, Harry
Henry - 93, died Sunday at Payzant Memorial Hospital. Born
at Martock, he was the son of James and Joyce Brown. He was a
carpenter by trade. He was a member of the Windsor fire
department No. 2 divison. Surviving are his wife, the former
Carrie Haley; three sons, Medford (Dick), Ellershouse; Harold,
Windsor; and Eugene, Halifax; a sister Maize (Mrs. Rufus Dodge),
Windsor Elms. The body is at the R. D. Lindsay Funeral Home,
Windsor where funeral service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday,
Rev. Gerad Steeves officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood
cemetery.

RAFUSE, Ethel
Jane - 88, died Saturday at the Nova Scotia Freemasons Home,
Windsor. Born in Avonport, she was a daughter of the late Edward
and Sarah (Shaw) King. She is survived by six daughters, Mildred
(Mrs. George Brown), Jean (Mrs. Eugene Morrison), Gwen (Mrs. Don
Dunlop), all of Truro; Vivian (Mrs. Cecil Squires), Halifax; Joy
(Mrs. Allan Gorman), Willowdale, Ont.; Helen (Mrs. William
Akin), Falmouth; two sons, Manning, Windsor; Clyde, Rexdale,
Ont.; one sister, Bessie (Mrs. B. Kelly), Berwick; a brother,
William, Vancouver; 22 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband and a son. Funeral service
will be held today at 2:30 p.m. in the Windsor United Baptist
Church, Rev. Gerard Steeves and Rev. George Hamilton
officiating. Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery.

VAUGHAN, Lyall
Eugene - 75, died Saturday at Queens General Hospital,
Liverpool. Born in Vaughan, Hants County, he was a son of the
late Edgar and Florence (Fader) Vaughan. He was a retired
employee of Bowaters Mersey Paper Company and a veteran of World
War One. Surviving is his wife, the former Kathleen Huskins. He
was predeceased by two brothers. The body is at Chandler's
Funeral Home, Liverpool where funeral service will be held 11
a.m. Tuesday, Rev. Carroll Armstrong officiating. Interment will
be in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor at 2:30 p.m. Donations may be
made to the Canadian Cancer Society. No flowers by request.
