COTTON, Alvin Edwin - 51, of Shubenacadie, died Thursday at home. Born in Springhill, P.E.I., he was the son of the late Russell and Annie (Hanson) Cotten. Surviving are his wife, the former Ann Custance; two daughters, Josephine (Mrs. Danny Drysdale), Shubenacadie; Heather, at home; five brothers, Calvin, Sterling and Fred, all of Prince Edward Island; Willard, Trenton, Ont.; Ray, Toronto; three sisters, Hazel (Mrs. Arnold Sharp), Maine; Loretta (Mrs. Earl Coughlin), both of Prince Edward Island; and four grandchildren. The body is at Ettinger's Funeral Home, Shubenacadie, where funeral and committal service will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m., Rev. Dr. L. Murray officiating assisted by Andy Verboom. Spring burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery, Nine Mile River. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Heart Foundation.

FANCY, Donald - 56 of Lantz, died Friday at home. Born in Upper Northfield, Lunenburg County, he as the son of Mrs. Bessie Oickle and the late Arthur Fancy. He served during the Second World War and was a member of Montgomery Branch Royal Canadian Legion, Enfield. Surviving besides his mother and his wife, the former Annie McLeod; a son, Donald and a daughter, Sandra, both at home; six brothers, Gordon, Baker's Settlement; Clarence, Upper Northfield; Oscar, Mount Denson; Claude and Walden, both of Enfield; George, Dutch Settlement. He was predeceased by a brother. The body is at Ettinger Funeral Home, Enfield, where funeral service will be held Sunday at 3 p.m., R. Pearce officiating. Burial will be in Lantz cemetery.

GRANT, Jessie Margaret (Withrow) - was buried in Edmonton following funeral service. Born in Upper Rawdon, she was the daughter of the late John and Isabel (Weatherhead) Withrow. She is survived by one daughter, Etta, Lethbridge, Alta.; two sons, Keith and Stuart, both of Edmonton; one sister, Mary, Upper Rawdon; and one brother, Earle, Halifax. She was predeceased by her husband, Clifford and three brothers, Thomas, John and Seth Withrow.

TAYLOR, Ernest Leslie Taylor - 75, of Curry's Corner, died Wednesday in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Martock, he was the son of the late William and Bertie (Redden) Taylor. He was an adherent of the Baptist Church and was a retired carpenter and farmer. Surviving are his wife, the former Lena Olive Benedict; six daughters, Phyllis (Mrs. Clyde Smith), Windsor; Miriam (Mrs. Horace Parker), Newport Station; Joan (Mrs. Lorimer Armstrong), Kempt Shore; Beverley (Mrs. Eric Cochrane), Brooklyn; Faye (Mrs. Donald Brooks), Three Mile Plains; Doreen (Mrs. Darrell Vaughan), Curry's Corner; four sons, Sgt. Ronald, Greenwood; Frederick, London, Ont.; Danny, Three Mile Plains; Garry, Windsor; five sisters, Mrs. Winnie Redden, Martock; Mrs. Joseph Haley and Bertie (Mrs. Kenneth Black), Helen (Mrs. Everett Nauss), all of Curry's Corners; Tessie.

RAFUSE, Frederick Rafuse - 53, Windsor, died Friday, in Hants Community Hospital. Born in Windsor, he was a son of the late Kempton and Ethel (King) Rafuse. He was a member of Pesaquid Lodge No. 38 IOOF and was a past-member of Annapolis Royal Lions Club. He was employed with Evangeline Savings and Mortgage Company as appraiser and mortgage officer. He was previously employed as manager Clifton Finance Company, and as manager of B. & L. Theaters. Surviving are his wife, the former Blanche Frances Keay, RN; a daughter, Kimberley, at home; two sons, Michael, at home; Mark, Florida; six sisters, Mildred (Mrs. George Brown, Jean (Mrs. Eugene Morrison) and Gwen (Mrs. Donald Dunlop), all of Truro; Vivian (Mrs. Cecil Squires), Spryfield; Helen (Mrs. William Aiken), Falmouth; Joy (Mrs. Allan Gorman), Willowdale, Ont.; a brother, Clyde "Huss", Lower Sackville. He was predeceased by a brother Maurice "Son". The body is at R. D. Lindsay Funeral Home, Windsor. Funeral mass will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. John's Roman Catholic Church, Windsor, Rev. Michael Bishop officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
