RAFUSE, Clyde Ronald Jr. - 58, Sudbury, Ontario, died Sunday in Sudbury. Born in Windsor, NS, he was the son of the late Clyde and Minnie (Gould) Rafuse. He is survived by his wife, the former Brenda Bennett; three daughters, all of Ontario; six sisters, Marguerite Wendell, Pauline Singer, Marjorie Blakney, all of Halifax; Dorothy Tucker, Windsor; Jessie Wentzell, Prince Edward Island; Vivian Pike, Kentville; three brothers, Seymour, California; Charlie and Carl, both of Sudbury. He was predeceased by a brother, Gerald Paul. Funeral will be in Sudbury. Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.

HAMILTON, Alice - 85, Truro, died Wednesday in Glenview Lodge Nursing Home, Truro. Born in Northfield, Hants County, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Jane (Hughes) Webb. She was a member of St. John's Anglican Church, Truro, and Princess Mary Guild. She is survived by two daughters, Betty (Mrs. Henry Sherrard), Montreal; Shirley (Mrs. Bernard Shaw), London, Ont.; two sons, Carl, Truro; Edsel, Lower Onslow; four sisters, Mrs. Edna Blackmore, Valley, Colchester County; Doris (Mrs. Lester Langille), Sheila (Mrs. Robert MacKenzie), both of Brampton, Ont.; Mrs. Lillian Ellis, St. Catharines, Ont.; a brother, Austin, Toronto; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, John; a son, Cecil; a daughter, Ellen; two brothers, Embered, Rev. Roy Webb. The body is in Mattatall's Funeral Home, Truro, visiting 7-9 p.m. today.

RAFUSE, Marguerite May - 81, Upper Vaughan, Hants County, died Sunday in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in New Ross, Lunenburg County, she was a daughter of the late Laurie and Anita (Vienotte) Swinamer. She was former owner and operator of Rafuse General Store, Upper Vaughan. She was a member of Upper Vaughan Baptist Church and Vaughan Hospital Auxiliary. She is survived by a daughter, Joan (Mrs. Wilfred Hawkesworth), Hythe, Alberta; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Theodore Rafuse. The body is in Lindsay's Funeral Home, visiting 2-4, 7-9 pm Wednesday. Funeral will be held 2:00 pm Thursday in Upper Vaughan Baptist Church, pastor Don Ehler officiating. Burial will be in Lower Vaughan Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Upper Vaughan Baptist Church.

SMITH, Alan Eric - 77, Windsor, died June 1, 1992 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Windsor, he was a son of the late Herbert and Minnie (Morgan) Smith. He retired in 1982 after eight years with Kentville Publishing, where he was a member of International Typographical Union, Local 130. He was a former co-owner of Black Printing Company, Middleton for over 12 years and previously worked for 25 years at the Hants Journal, Windsor. He was a soldier and avid bandsman of the Salvation Army for over 50 years. He was a member of West Nova Regiment Band and Windsor Citizens Band. He is survived by his wife, the former Hazel Kathleen Lyons; two daughters, Sandra Nimmo, Dartmouth; Diane (Mrs. Bob DeMont), Windsor; two sisters, Nora (Mrs. Edmund Thomson), Windsor; Doris (Mrs. Edward Libbie), Akron, Ohio; brother, Carl (Chook), Windsor; five grandchildren; a great-grandson. He was predeceased by a sister, Ellen, three brothers, Clarence, Arthur, Basil. The body is in Lindsay Windsor Funeral Home. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Windsor Salvation Army Citadel, Capt. Craig Rowe officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor. Donations may be made to Windsor Salvation Army.

HOPKINS, Beulah Lurlie - 69, Brookfield, Colchester County, died July 4, 1992, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Centre Rawdon, Hants County, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Hattie (Elliott) Hopkins. She was an office worker in Halifax for several years and later worked for Electrical Distributors, Truro for 10 years. She was a member of St. Paul's Anglican Church. She is survived by a brother, Lewis, Brookfield. She was predeceased by a sister, Merle; brother, Elmore. The body is in Mattatall Funeral Home, Truro, visiting 3-4:30, 7-9 p.m. today. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. Paul's Anglican Church, Centre Rawdon, Rev. Lloyd Ripley officiating. Burial will be in church cemetery. Donations may be made to St. John's Anglican Church.
