BAXTER, Avery Joseph - (94, Wilmot, died may 16, 1995 in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Born in Wetworth, Hants County, he was the son of the late Frederick and Annie (Hunter) Baxter. He is survived by daughter, Irene Barlow, Wilmot; son, Raymond, St. Croix; five granddaughters; eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Leta Hirtle; brother, Raymond; sisters, Ella, Daisy. Funeral service was held May 20 in Warren T. Roop Funeral Home, Middleton, Rev. Norman Hovland officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown. Donations may be made to Mountain Lea Lodge, the VON or any charity.

SCOTT, Loretta Anne - 90, St. Vincent's Guest Home, Halifax, formerly of Enfield, died May 24, 1995, in the Halifax Infirmary. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Anne (Horne) Peake. She was a member of St. Bernard's Parish, Enfield. Surviving are sons, Kenneth, Fredericton; William, Charles, Enfield; sisters, Ruth Gray, Enfield; Mary Francis, Shubenacadie; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles; brothers, Clement, Charles, Andrew, William; sisters, Margaret, Nell; grandson, Kenneth. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, funeral 10 a.m. Friday, both in St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church, Enfield, Rev. Paul Granville officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to any charity. Arrangements under the direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie.
