DALRMPLE,
Rodney Earl - 77, 13 Holmes Hill, Hantsport, died April 14,
1996, in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Belmont,
Hants Co., he was a son of the late Robert and Georgia
(Benedict) Dalrymple. He was formerly employed with the Canadian
Keyes Fibre Co., Hantsport, for 42 years and worked at Minas
Basin Pulp and Paper for three years. Surviving are daughter,
Joan; sons, Wayne, Windsor; Keith, Halifax; Wray, Price George,
B.C.; four grandchildren; sisters, Daphne (Mrs. Roland Masters),
Hantsport; Minnie (Mrs. Donald Walsh), Bluff Road, Kings Co.;
several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place.
Visitation 7-9 p.m. tonight, funeral 2 p.m. Wednesday, both in
Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King St., Rev. David Shaw
officiating. Burial in Belmont Cemetery, Belmont, Hants Co.
Donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or any
charity.

DALRYMPLE,
Laura May - 100, Windsor Junction, died April 9, 1996,
in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born at Admiral Rock, Hants
County, she was the daughter of the late George and Annie
(Williams) McIntosh. She was a survivor of the Halifax Explosion
in 1917; she lived in Windsor Junction most of her life and was
a lifelong member of Admiral Rock United Church; she enjoyed
spending time with her many family members. She is survived by
sons, Harry, Corunna, Ont.; James, Lantz; daughters, Jean
Osmond, Bedford; Frances Lind, Dartmouth; 56 grandchildren; 96
great-grandchildren; 24 great-great-grandchildren. She was
predeceased by her husband, Elmer Stuart; sons, Alfred, Ralph
(Mike), Clarence, Douglas; daughters, Dorothy Bell, aughan;
brother, William. Funeral service was held in Ettinger Funeral
Home, Shubenacadie, Rev. Chris Ryan officiating. Burial was in
Milford Cemetery. Donations may be made to Admiral Rock United
Church memorial fund or any charity.

McDONELL,
Robert A. - 75, 54 Renfrew Rd., Enfield, died April 26,
1996, at home. Born in Enfield, he was a son of the late Allen
T. and Mary (Horne) McDonell. He was a lifelong resident of
Enfield; member of St. Bernard's Parish and member of Royal
Canadian Legion, Montgomery branch 133. He worked with his
father in the logging industry in Renfrew and then worked as a
self-employed contractor carpenter, retiring from Willow Park
with DND. Surviving are sons, Bryne, Allen, Clyde, Paul,
Enfield; daughters, Alberta Williams, Linda McDonell, Theresa
Boutilier, Enfield; Joanne Surette, Purcells Cove; Patty Smith,
Chatham, Ont.; 18 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren;
sisters, Esther, Halifax; Leona, Enfield. He was predeceased by
his wife, the former Greta Marie Horne; son, Eric; an infant
daughter and infant son; brothers, Ernest, Donald; sisters,
Kathleen, Sister Mary Alberta, Gertrude. Funeral 10 p.m. today
in St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church, Enfield, Rev. Paul
Granville SJ officiating. Burial in church cemetery. In lieu of
flowers, donations to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
