The Baptist church in the Jeddore area began with the arrival of Luke Harpell and his wife, Lydia Arnold. Under their influence, church buildings were erected - West Jeddore in 1885, East Jeddore in 1895, and Oyster Pond in 1907.

The current church was built in 1988. The congregations of the West Jeddore, East Jeddore, Oyster Pond Baptist Churches joined to create the current church. The first pastor was Rev. Gordon Poley, and the first church service was held on Easter Sunday, March 26, 1989.
