The Evening Mail (Halifax, Nova Scotia)- Wednesday, 31 August 1910, p. 12, col. 2:- The death occurred last evening at 17 Allen street, of Elizabeth, widow of John BLAKENEY, of Jeddore, death being due to a paralytic stroke. Mrs. BLAKENEY, who had many friends in Halifax, is survived by three sons and six daughters. A funeral service will be held at 17 Allen street at seven o’clock on the evening of September 1st, and the interment will be in Jeddore.
The Evening Mail (Halifax, Nova Scotia)- Monday, 8 August 1910, p. 6, col. 5: - The death occurred at Eastern Passage Saturday afternoon, of Elsie, wife of William HARTLEN, at the age of twenty-six years. Mrs. HARTLEN was ill for only a short time. A couple of weeks ago she had a tooth extracted. So much blood was lost from this that the loss of blood became a serious matter. Finally blood poisoning set in resulting finally in the death of Mrs. HARTLEN. Deceased leaves a husband and a little daughter. She was formerly Miss Elsie MURRAY. An aged mother and four brothers, Joseph, Richard, James and George survive her. The funeral took place this afternoon
The Halifax Chronicle-Herald (Halifax, Nova Scotia)- Thursday, 5 September 1957, p. 2, col. 3: - Maurice James HENNEBERRY, a lifelong resident of Eastern Passage, passed away at Camp Hill hospital Wednesday morning following a lengthy illness. He was 65.
Mr. HENNEBERRY was an active member of the Holy Name Society of St. Andrew’s church.He is survived by his widow, Rose; six daughters, Una (Mrs. F.J. GILL), Eastern Passage; Eva (Mrs. Russell MacDONALD), Eastern Passage; Ruth (Mrs. William LAGAN [LANGAN]), Shearwater; Hazel (Mrs. Elwood PEPPER), Hamilton, Ont.; Mary (Mrs. William KNOX), Cornwall, Ont.; four sons, Stanley, Eastern Passage; Raymond, Eastern Passage; William, Hamilton, Ont.; Clyde, at home; three sisters and a number of grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at St. Andrew’s church in time for Requiem High Mass, 9 a.m. Saturday, Rev. A.A. Francis officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
The Evening Mail (Halifax, Nova Scotia)- Tuesday, 9 August 1910, p. 12, col. 3:- The funeral of Mrs. William HARTLEN, which took place yesterday afternoon at Eastern Passage, was very largely attended. Rev. D. EDWARDS conducted the services at the house, church and grave. There were numerous beautiful floral offerings.
The Evening Mail (Halifax, Nova Scotia)- Wednesday, 20 July 1910, p. 6, col. 2: - The death took place at the Infirmary yesterday of John R. HENNEBERRY, of Devil’s Island. Mr. HENNEBERRY had been at the Infirmary since the end of May when his vessel, the Village Belle, arrived from the sealing grounds. He came back suffering from heart disease and was sent to the infirmary for treatment.
Mr. HENNEBERRY went on the sealing trip as third mate of the Village Belle. When second mate John CALLAHAN was lost at sea he was promoted to the vacancy.Deceased was 38 years of age. He leaves a widow at Devil’s Island. The body has been taken to Eastern Passage for burial.
The Halifax Herald, (Halifax, Nova Scotia)- Tuesday, 14 June 1910, p. 4, col. 4: - The death occurred at Eastern Passage Saturday of William HIMMELMAN, son of the late Lewis HIMMELMAN. Deceased was a victim of tuberculosis, [and] was only 22 years of age. He was well liked by everybody. A mother, one brother and five sisters remain to mourn his departure. In the absence of the rector, Rev. D. EDWARDS, Rev. Canon ALMON will conduct the funeral services on this afternoon.

Tuesday, April 19, 1927 The Bridgewater Bulletin - BAKER, Florence Hyacinth - On Easter morn, at the home of her brother, Frank Baker, Florence Hyacinth Baker aged 49 years, passsed away after a long-illness. Miss Baker was the daughter of the late Solomon and Matilda Baker. She was born in Bridgewater, but lived most of her life in the United States. She is survived by three brothers, Angus, Stanley and Frank, and two sisters, (Adella) Mrs Loring B. Hawes, Grove Hall, Mass., and (Addie) Mrs Clifford Jefferson, Bridgewater. Funeral will be held from the residence of her brother, Frank Baker, on Wednesday afternoon at 2.30 o’clock.
The Halifax Mail (Halifax, Nova Scotia) - Thursday, 7 February 1946, p. 3, col. 3:- Aged Woman Dies in Fall - A fall down a flight of cellar steps to the concrete floor below yesterday afternoon claimed the life of Mrs. Rose C. HENEBERRY [HENNEBERRY], 53 Brenton Street. Police reported the elderly woman died as a result of a fractured skull suffered when her head struck the cement floor.
She was a widow of the late Thomas Alfred HENEBERRY. She leaves to mourn her death three daughters, Blanche C. HENEBERRY, Mrs. E.M. BARNHILL and Mrs. L.H. GOODYER, all of Halifax, and one son, Maurice, of Eastern Passage; also one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth JOY, of Vallejo, California, and one brother, Joseph CONRAD, Quincy, Mass. The remains are resting at the home of her daughters, Miss Blanche HENEBERY and Mrs. E.M. BARNHILL, 316 Tower Road. Requiem Mass will be held in St. Mary’s Cathedral at nine o’clock Saturday morning, February 9. Interment will be in St. Andrew’s Cemetery, Eastern Passage.
The Evening Mail (Halifax, Nova Scotia)- Monday, 19 September 1910, p. 12, col. 5: - GEORGE HORNE, SR. - The death took place yesterday, at his home at Eastern Passage, of George HORNE, senior, a well-known and highly respected octogenarian who had spent his entire life at Eastern Passage, where he was a prosperous farmer.
Mr. HORNE contracted pneumonia a week ago. His extreme age, 82 years, handicapped him in his struggle to shake off the disease to which he succumbed yesterday morning. Mr. HORNE is survived by an aged wife, five sons and four daughters. The daughters are Elizabeth, wife of Edward DeYOUNG, Eastern Passage; Mary, wife of William TIMMONDS, Halifax; Matilda, wife of Mr. FRASER, formerly of Haverley [Waverley], and Esther, wife of Edward CHURCH, Halifax. The sons are George and Hugh, of Halifax; Alexander, William and Donald, of Eastern Passage. The Evening Mail (Halifax, Nova Scotia) - Wednesday, 21 September 1910, p. 3, col. 7:- St. Peter’s cemetery, Eastern Passage, was the scene of two funerals yesterday afternoon. About 3.30 o’clock the funeral of George HORNE arrived at the church, where a service was conducted and a sermon preached by the rector, Rev. D. EDWARDS.
While this service was in progress the funeral of Mrs. William CONRAD arrived at the church from Halifax. As the only bearer was in use the first service was concluded and burial completed before the second service took place. The rector preached a short funeral sermon at the second service. Rev. L.J. DONALDSON, of Trinity church, had previously conducted services at the late home of deceased and at Trinity church
MRS. ELIZABETH ARNOLD - died Sept 03, 1925 Jeddore Sept. 05, - The funeral of Mrs. E. Arnold, took place yesterday afternoon, The service took place in the church at East Side with interment in the cemetery there. Rev. Tingley conducted the service. The deceased was 91 years of age and although not very active death came suddenly. She leaves 3 aged brothers, William, Stephen and Provost Jennex. Her children who are living are: Mrs. Albert Power, Mrs. Eunice Cook, Alexander and Lorne Arnold of Jeddore, and Mrs. J. Richards of P. E. I. JEDDORE, Nov. 11, 1943 - The funeral of Mrs. Eunice Cook took place Tuesday afternoon from the home of her brother Lorne Arnold at East Jeddore, with who she was residing. Service was conducted by Paster Struck and Fulton Baker. She was 73 years of age and had been in her usual health until the past month when she suffered a heart attack from which she did not recover. She is survived by two daughters, Grace, Mrs. Aubrey Baker, West Jeddore, Julie, Mrs Richards, P. E. I, two sons Samuel, P. E. I. and Henry at Trenton, and one brother Lorne Arnold, East Jeddore. Interment was made at the cemetery at East Jeddore
There passed away at the home of her brother, on October 31th. Eunice Cook, daughter of the late Mr and Mrs John Arnold. She had been ill for the last three weeks and was in her 73rd year. Her husband predeceased her some years ago. Surviving are her two daughters, (Julie) Mrs James Richards, P. E. I. (Grace) Mrs Aubrey Baker, West Jeddore, two sons, Samuel, P. E. I., Henry at Trenton, also one brother, Lorne Arnold at home. The funeral service was held on Tuesday at 2:30 pm, at the home of her brother, Lorne Arnold with Fulton Baker officiating assisted by Mr Struck. Interment was made at East Jeddore Cemetery
