Having difficulties finding anything on my grandfather James Vidito (deceesed Aprox. 1951)and my great grandfather who is probably related to Rev. Nathaniel Vidito of Nictaux Falls.My grandmother was Mary Elizabeth Laverick (maiden name) of Ayleford. Any inf. is greatly appreciated in advance.

I would like to suggest updating your communities head of households, etc. I am particularly interested in my community of Newburne. There is a book on the history of Newburne, which includes all of the households, and their children up to and possibly over 1985. It is available by talking to the owners of the Lahave River Campground, located in Newburne, along the Lahave River. If you would update it, i would be very pleased. I have been very successful in my local areas, but have come to a standstill when I have to trace back to various countries/geographical areas. At family reunions, I have always heard tell about "Heckmans Island", but haven't researched it much....thanks to Internet, I now have a good start! I would love to find out more about Heckmans Island, its descendants and Heckman residents, or any other information that may, indeed, link me to my family's past! When I found the marriage record, John's last name was given as 'Beust', but given the Lunenburg County connection, I wonder if it was Ernst? His parents were Edward Walker (b 9/1873) and Ida (Adams) Walker (b 5/1878) Western Shore, NS. They had six (?) children. Comments:I've just begun searching for WINTERS' ancestors. I'm specifically interested in learning about my paternal great grandfather John WINTERS, born circa 1845 probably in the Lunenburg area, and who came from there in the late 1860s and settled in Ingonish, Victoria County, NS where he married Margery Jackson of Ingonish. They had one child, William Albert, born October 11, 1871. Our family knows nothing of John's roots other than he was listed as an Ingonish resident in the 1871 Victoria County census, was 26 at that time, a fisherman, Church of England and of English ancestry.
