The following has been duplicated from a manuscript originally completed by Margaret C. Ritchie in September of 1956. The only changes made to the document were to list females with their married names rather than married and maiden. No changes were made in the order Mrs. Ritchie had originally constructed the list of names. In an attempt to make the document more accessible to researchers using varied media and due to poor copy quality, the document was re-typed in September 1998 by Thomas R. MacKay Jr.

McGregor Cemetery at Iron Bridge, New Glasgow, Nova Scotia

Access only from the track of the Canadian National Railway. Copied in part in July 1952 when Mrs. Ritchie noted that the area "had been grown over for years." When this copying project was undertaken, a cleaning effort of the cemetery was underway, but she reported many stones required re-setting. The copying was split into two missions, 1951 and 1956, as many areas were inaccessible during her first visit.

An attempt was made to complete the project on July 31, 1956 but the area was found to be in the same condition, if not worse. Mrs. Ritchie reported that from the evidence of broken bottles and debris, the area was being used as a "Bum's rest."

Copying of inscriptions completed by Henry C. and Margaret C. Ritchie. The amount of information for each individual varies. Where provided, the maiden names of women appear immediately following their first name.
