In the time period of 1918 to 1923 R. H Ward traveled the Pictou County countryside documenting the history and production of farms in many of the county communities. These articles were published in newspapers of the day and have been of great help to family history researchers. Family origins are often mentioned and family members are often identified.
The R.H. Ward articles can be found in the New Glasgow Library, at the Pictou Roots Society office, and at the Pictou County Genealogical & Historical Society's office.

Many thanks to Doug Sinnis for providing the following list of published R.H. Ward articles, July, 2002.
