BARTLETT

Edwin Bartlett was born in Westbury, Wiltshire in 1852. He travelled to Australia & in 1884 married Lucy Bailey. Edwin & Lucy were active in the Church of England congregation. Edwin was associated with the building & financing of the current brick church. He was the Rector's Warden. Lucy was active in founding the Church of England Guild & Red Cross in Wardell.

There were seven children in the Bartlett family: Louise (Mrs C. T. Lumley), Florence, Winifred (married Frank Wilcox of Ulmarra), Herbert, Luther (moved to W. A), Arthur (Sydney) & Victoria (Mrs Smith - Brisbane). In 1919 Edwin sold his business to Mr H. C. Burgett. Edwin died in 1921 & Lucy in 1949.
