CROZIER

George Crozier married Sarah Elizabeth Miller in Balmain in 1875. They had two children: George William (1876 - 1878) & Robert John Thomas (1879). Robert moved to the Far North Coast & married Alice Harriet Roberts in 1905. Alice & Robert moved to New Zealand for some time. On their return from New Zealand in 1916, Robert & Alice purchased a farm & built a house on Purdie's Lane, Empire Vale.

Alice Roberts had grown up in the Empire Vale area. Her father was Billy Roberts.

Robert & Alice's children were: Sarah Alice, Emily, Ada Sophia, Gladys Robina, Conley Agnes, Robert Kitchener, William L, Iris May & Isobella. The boys helped their father farm sugar cane. Emily contracted polio at about 9 years of age & was taken to school by horse & sulky. Robert helped make a horse paddock at the back of Empire Vale School.
