Ballina & Richmond River GenWeb JOHNSTONE In
about 1913, Arthur Johnstone & his wife Edith (nee
Paine) moved from Ulmarra, to Empire Vale. They purchased
a farm on the Corner of River Road (then the Pacific
Highway) & Empire Vale Lane. Their children included:
Keith, Phyllis, Victor, Clarice, Beryl & Nalda. The
family moved away from the area, but came back again.
