History William KINNY bc 1828 Dumfries SCT marr 1863 to Jane YABSLEY (Mrs Fred WEST) dau of William YABSLEY & Magdalen RYDER. YABSLEY was a shipbuilder and early pioneer of Coraki. William KINNY was a
ships Captain on the coastal trade for YABSLEY. He and Jane first settled
on the Macleay River . In 1864 he took up a selection on the Bellinger River,
one of the first settlers there. He tried sugar farming at
"Fernmount". By 1872 he had also opened a Although he is not
mentioned in the index to "Pioneering in the Bellinger Valley"
(Bellinger Valley HS), William KINNY is referred to in that book on pages
