The Research room staff is dedicated to maintaining an archive of materials that accurately captures the uniqueness of the region.

MISSION STATEMENT:
Blackwall Historical Society Inc. was formed in 2005 to collect, preserve, display and disseminate historical material relevant to Ballina Shire's general past and in particular Wardell area. Today in 2015 the work will be carried on by a Sub Committee of Wardell Progress Association Incorporated

Projects of the Society:

Wardell Walkabout [pamplet available from Ballina Tourist Information Centre] or email the committee for a guided tour

"Faces in the Street" Exhibition with Wardell Public School Art work and display of family history records.

Ballina to Wardell Historic River Cruises [these depend of tides]

New Honour board presented to the people of the district to be installed in the Wardell & District War Memorial Hall.
