Resources:

The Research Centre provides comprehensive resources for tracing families both in Australia and overseas using an extensive library of books, microfilms, microfiche and CD resources.

Equipment includes Computers, Microfiche and Microfilm readers and an ST ViewScan II Microfilm Scanner and also a Book Scanner.

More resources are being added as funds allow. Specific information on the comprehensive resources is available from the Duty Monitor, and a small sample of what is available is listed below.

Broadband access is provided to the extensive genealogical resources of the World Wide Web.
Access to ancestry.com is available on Computers #1, 2 and 3.

This collection contains historical records and images from Australia, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, the United States and more locations around the globe.

Access to both Findmypast UK and Australian sites is available on Computers #1 and 3.
The most complete 1841-1911 Census collection and BMDs (1837-2006) are available on the UK site as well as Parish records, migration and military records and other specialist records.
The Australian site includes millions of family and local history records for Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands and Papua New Guinea.

Access to both Findmypast Ireland and US sites is available on Computer #2 and categories include life events (BMDs), census and land, travel and migration, military, directories and social history, churches and religion, as well as institutions and organisations records.
The US site also includes some Canadian records.

Information and images are being continually added to all these sites.


FamilySearch Films.

Orders for members are placed through the FamilySearch Administrator, and shipped directly from Salt Lake City, Utah, within 4-6 weeks.
All films are hired for 60 days, and an extension can be arranged if required. Please contact the Duty Monitor if you need more information, or assistance.
