Church of St Thomas Port Macquarie
Early Parish Registers
black & white text and photos
These are complete transcriptions from the original registers, fully indexed (persons baptised, parents, godparents, persons buried, persons married, and witnesses to marriages).
During this period, the parish of St Thomas Church Port Macquarie was the only Church of England parish between the Hunter Valley and Moreton Bay; consequently the registers contain numerous baptisms and marriages performed in the Manning and Macleay districts, as well as the Hastings Valley and Port Macquarie. In the early years many of the ceremonies were performed for convicts and their children.
