BEBBER: My father's name was Sidney Bebber. He died when I was just two months old in 1958 in a car accident in London. My mum married again when I was three, which is why my surname is now SCOPP. On my dad's RAF records (from 1941) he gave the address of his mother (next of kin), Adelaide Bebber, as Campbell Parade, North Bondi, NSW. I remember her in Britain when I was young. I believe she died in Britain during the 1980s. Sidney had a brother who emigrated to Australia in the 1960s or 70s and a sister called Marie JAMES who left Britain after her mother died. BULL: James Bull, a private in the NSW Corps, arrived in Sydney January 11, 1800, on Minerva guarding Irish political prisoners. Accompanied by wife Ann (WILSON) and infant daughter Jane. He and Ann were both born and married in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire. They had 10 more children in Sydney. He resigned from the NSW Corps and took a land grant in 1807 after the Rum Rebellion. He features in Minerva history; pioneer history of Liverpool; likely in Castle Hill uprising 1804. He died on October 23, 1822, at age 43 from results of attack by bushrangers on September 9, 1822, and is buried at St. Luke's Liverpool.
