Place & District Name Changes in World War I
This is of general interest to those who currently hold certificates with original names of townships in Australia prior to World War I. It may not be complete but is a good reference point. The Nomenclature Act introduced in South Australia in 1917 was copied by other States of the Commonwealth and the result of this action was that the following German place names and districts in Australia were changed during World War I.
