The West Point settlement existed from approximately 1868
through 1871 when the residents
left Nevada to
return to Utah. It was located near where the Reid-Garner Power Station is now
in Moapa Township
and it appears on an 1855 Nevada Railroad map.
The cemetery has been abandoned for over a hundred and
thirty years. In 1986, Lee Huntsman erected the above marker.
Only one headstone remains. 27 graves are designated, but many
more could be there.
