Father Mother Corydon Fairchild Martha R. Spencer
Ovid Bee - November 30, 1870
For the Bee.Mr. Editor;
Since my last I am pleased to learn of your daughter Lucia's still further progress in musical attainments as a writer or composer of music-- being the author of two short sweet pieces, without an error, which we are assured is a very rare occurance for the first attempt.--This shows both the efficiency of the teacher, Proj. J. M. Chadwick, and aptness in the pupil. Yourself and Prof. C. have a right to feel a just pride in her attainments.
I am respectfully yours, O.B.J.
