MINERAL COUNTY, NEVADA
GENEALOGY PAGE

Mineral County was created from the northern part of Esmeralda County
on February 10, 1911. The name was given because the county is a highly
mineralized area. Hawthorne was named it's county seat and was settled in
the early 1880s.
