Remarks on the Harvest of 1864. – Here state whether the yield of any particular crop, reported on the preceding schedule, was affected by drouth or otherwise.  If so, to what relative amount as compared with common years?

The frost on the night of the 12th of June, the continued dry weather with the immense numbers of grasshoppers, from the best information I can obtain, reduced the crops in this town one half or fifty per cent of the whole, while the oat & spring wheat crop was reduced full two thirds.  Along the valley of the Genesee River the drought did not seem to effect crops as much as on the high land neither was the grass damaged by frost.

The number of domestic animals kept by those who occupy no framing lands, are 82 horses, 2 mules, 12 cows.

Remarks on the influence of the War upon Prices. – What is the average monthly pay (including board), of farm laborers through the summer months?  40.

What by the year?  25

What were these wages in 1860?  15.

Has the price of framing lands increased since 1860?  I think not.

How has the war affected the amount of debt between individuals?  Considerable decreased the amount

What effect has it had upon credit?  To strengthen it.

Has it tended to promote prompt payments?  I think it has.

General Remarks.  The village of Hume contains a population of 289 and the names of its inhabitants commences on page 42 line 10 and ends page 50 line 8 of the population schedule.  Also the village of Fillmore contains 222 inhabitants commences on page 27 & line 22 & ends page 33 line 45.  Also the village of Wiscoy a population of 204 commences page 6 line 318 ends page 11 line 44.  These villages are not incorporated but extensively known by the foregoing names.
