
Rushford Central School graduated its 17-member Class of 1960 at annual Commencement Exercises held in the school auditorium.
Dr. Gerald Thorington, school board president, presented the diplomas upon presentation of the class by Mrs. Wilda Williams, advisor.
Dr. Paul Orvis, president of Alfred Agricultural and Technical Institute, presented the principal address. Other speakers were Joan Z. Wilmot, valedictorian, and James Pomery, salutatorian. The Rev. Robert Childs gave the invocation, and the Rev. Kenneth Huff, the benediction.
Mrs. Williams played the processional and recessional. Other music was offered by the Girls Ensemble, a vocal group, and Haran Schoming, cornet soloist.
Awards had been presented previously by Principal W. W. Albro and faculty members at a Class Night program.
