Sullivan County Gen.
Beaverkill Chapter was organized in
1917 and took the name of the world
famous trout stream that flows through
Sullivan County.

Membership is open to any female applicant who is 18 years or older and who can prove a direct blood line from an ancestor who aided in the War for Independence either in military, civil or patriotic service between the dates of April
19, 1775 and November 26, 1783.

The Chapter is active and meets 9 months of the year--April through December--on the first Friday of the month at 12:30PM at locations determined by the program committee. We work with the schools with the American History Essay Contest, the DAR Good Citizen Scholarship program, and participate with Patriotism awards for Roscoe Central's 6th graders and to graduating seniors at Western Sullivan Central School. We actively support the Sullivan County Historical Society and the local food pantries.
