Broome County 1800 Census

Broome County was not created as a separate entity until 1808. The towns that existed before that date, namely Chenango, Lisle and Union, were listed as part of Tioga Co. NY. The entries below are for that census. The 2 numbers indicate the page numbers on each page of the census, the first one handwritten, the second stamped.

On the records, there is a handwritten page number on each page and each name takes up 2 pages, one with the name and first 3 positions of the census, and the second with the rest of the data. The typed numbers are stamped on the bottom of each of the pages with names on them. Work in Progress
