Broome County Navigation Hints

Hi, my name is Vicki Hall Titus and I am the co-ordinator of the Broome Co. NY GenWeb site. My interest in Broome Co. comes from the fact that my Great Grandfather, Richard Hall enlisted for Civil War service with the 137th Infantry at Binghamton. One of these days, I might even find out what he was doing there. He was raised by Samuel Hill, a son of Broome County resident Ferris Hill. However, I can't find Samuel and/or Richard living in Broome County.

There are several different sections of the Broome County GenWeb site. Each has an icon in the navigation index at the bottom of the pages. Simply clicking on the icon will deliver you to the correct section of the site.

Here is an explanation of each of the sections, along with its associated icon.

This section is the "home" base of the site. The button returns you to the main Broome County GenWeb page.

This section is a collection of links to local data pages. It will include original source data.

This section is a series of links to various museums, historical societies and libraries in the Broome Co. area.

This section gives as overview of the various towns in Broome Co. NY

This section gives links to various pages with information about churches and burial grounds.

This section contains links to pages, both local and off the GenWeb site, that pertain to the military information.

This section contains the "meat" of the GenWeb system. This is where the links to the surname and queries are, along with whatever lookup services are available.

This is the standard GenWeb information. It contains an overview of the GenWeb system, the guestbook for Broome County GenWeb, a feedback poll, and a series for navigation links to other sections of interest in the GenWeb system. This includes the nearby counties in NY and PA and the main pages for both the GenWeb county system and GenWeb archives for both states. It also contains an explanation about our sister site, Marcri1's early family site.

Why don't you click on one of the buttons below and start the "Grand Tour". Good luck.
