The Pastor's Message
"Look up, not down; look out, not in; look forward, not backward." The past has been glorious in its service and its triumphs; but the on coming future presents to us an opportunity and a challenge far beyond anything we ever faced before. It was in the dark days of the Christian church that someone asked concerning the prospects for the future; and the answer came, "They are as bright as the promises of God." So in these days of joyful enthusiasm we as the church of Christ may look forward to splendid achievements in the building of his kingdom, knowing well his words of promise, "Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world."
Let our motto be, "Not I, but Christ." And let us each unite with the Apostle Paul and say, "Forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."
We "believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God," and that "the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin." We believe that he lived and died to bring men into conscious and personal fellowship with God. We believe that he calls men to live for him and to be of service to others in his name. We believe that he is coming again in his own good time to establish his kingdom. This is the Gospel we proclaim, and we extend friendly hands to all to join forces with us to help Jesus Christ in the lives of men and in the life of the world.
Hopefully and cordially yours,
