This A.C. McIntyre Thousand Islands view shows the first cottage on Calumet Island, opposite Clayton, ca. 1886. The property was owned by Calumet Kendall Fitzgerald of Clayton. The cottage shown was later replaced by a stone castle, which was destroyed by fire in the 1950s.
