Giving one an idea of the size of the river vessels that docked at Alexandria Bay, Cornwall's dock appears to be the only one suitable for boats of this magnitude. It was unusual to see the sister ships, the Toronto (one stack) and the Kingstorn (two stacks) at the Bay at the same time. Their schedules ordinarily alternated the days on which they made their trips. A much smaller tour boat which might hold nearly forty passengers is in the left foreground, to give a sense of scale, while the porch of Cornwall's Store is at the right margin.
