THE DOBBINS FAMILY OF ALEXANDRIA IN 1910

This photograph, like so many others, has no specific date, but is estimated from the ages of the children to be about 1910. Starting with the back row, John, Clifford, and Bill Dobbins are children of George B. and Blanche (Shangraw) Dobbins. Bill is sitting beside his cousin Willie Plimpton on the bench.
The two big girls standing are the sisters Daisy Dobbins, later Mrs. Stanley James Ayles, and Kathleen, better known as Bonnie Dobbins, later Mrs. John Petrie.
Next come their cousins, the two Plimpton sisters, Susie and Mamie,daughters of Daisy and Kathleen's sister Mary Luine (Dobbins) Plimpton and her husband William Plimpton Sr. Susie was later Mrs. Herbert Millet, and Mamie was Mrs. Charles E. Dingman. Their little brother Willie (thumb in mouth) is sitting on the bench next to his cousin Bill Dobbins
Mary Luine was born 7 February 1877, and died 21 April 1949, married William H. Plimpton Sr.
George B. Dobbins Jr. was born 5 December 1881 and died 27 September 1939, married Blanche Shangraw.
Daisy was born 3 July 1895, and died 18 Dec 1967, married Sanley Jmes Ayles.
Kathleen was born 15 August 1897, and died 30 December 1970, married John "Jack" Petrie.
George B. Dobbins Sr. married Phoebe A. Hawkins.
