FURTHER INFORMATION ON THE COLLISION OF THE GIGGLE AND THE THOUSAND ISLANDER
This aerial shot of the boats grappling for the bodies of Mr. and Mrs. W.
Charles Lipe and Ford Dodge, their pilot, was obtained from the Herald
airplane piloted by Myron T. Williams, of Curtiss Flying Service, Inc. Capt.
Devillo J. Rogers and his wife, who played leading roles of the saving of 38
passengers aboard an excursion boat rammed by the Lipe speedboat, are shown
in the inserts.
