After
each name, first is the number of slash marks found next to the name on
the hand-written transcript I believe was done by Edith Newland.
Slash
marks represented the number of graves in that location. The second
number is a sort of plot number indicating the location of the graves
under that name.
If you stand at the entrance to the cemetery, locations begin at your
far left, closest to the road with number 1 and go straight back (EAST)
to number 15. The next column begins with 16 again closest to the road
but slightly CLOSER to the entrance, next to number 1 and goes back to
number 30. Using a grid, she has 75 plots to the left of the "driveway"
and 112 plots (16 back, 7 across) to the right of the driveway. Not all
plots have names and please understand I have done my best to
accurately transcribe what she wrote but can not guarantee its
accuracy. I HAVE personally been to this cemetery and can vouch for
some of the information and for the general accuracy of the layout and
locations.
