CHAPMAN
Wagner, Smiths Mills
According to his obituary in the Dunkirk Evening Observer (22Jan1895),
Eugene Chapman "was taken prisioner in the battle of Gettysburg, remained
in Libby prison three months, was with Sherman in his famous march to the
sea and received an honorable discharge at the close of war."
I know very little so far about their role in the Civil War, but I do know
a lot about their families. Please feel free to put a link to my e-mail
address for people who want more info.
