What ever happened to those other buttons?
Well, they are still there, sort of!
When you click the query button,  notice the small box called "View Message Type".  It  contains a "Pull Down Menu" that lets you  restrict the search to a particular type of  Post, duplicating the effect of the old buttons.

This is only an example and doesn't work
I know, I know,  I liked the old buttons better too!!
