| LAKE FRONT. This is the farm of
William B. DeShong, whose postoffice is Aurora, N.Y. It is located
between Aurora and Levanna, one mile distant from each respectively. The
situation is picturesque, overlooking Cayuga Lake, the residence fronting
on a beautiful lawn, studded with fine shade trees, is modern in its
appointments. The barns and outbuildings are conveniently arranged and in
good repair. The soil is adapted to grain and grass, and on account of its
splendid water facilities, dairying and stock raising would prove a successful
venture. Fruit culture is a prominent feature. Its convenient location adds
greatly to the farm's value. The L. V. R. R. passes near the residence, and
the attractive village of Aurora is but a mile distant affording church,
school and marketing privileges. Mr. DeShong owns two other farms
adjoining "Lake Front," aggregating one hundred and seventy-five acres, all
under cultivation and well watered, "E. Straun Farm" and "D. Thomas Farm"
are their respective names. |
