ROSE LAWN is owned by C. T. Hoxie. Postoffice address, Poplar Ridge. This beautiful home is located in the village of Poplar Ridge, which is fourteen miles from Auburn, six from King Ferry, and five from Aurora. The name is derived from its lawn, which is made lovely with flowers and a fine evergreen hedge. The attractive appearance of the buildings also add to the worth of Rose Lawn. The place was formerly owned by Elmer Sprague, and came into possession of Mr. Hoxie in 1897. He was born in Cayuga County in 1832, and married, in 1863, Miss Ann G. Proud, a native of Massachusetts.
