WILLOW LODGE, John H. Murdock, owner. Postoffice address, Venice Center, numbers one hundred and forty acres on the Salmon Creek road from Auburn and Genoa, and within a convenient distance of Moravia and Aurora. Attention is given to stock and dairying, having some of the choicest Berkshire registered cows; hay and grain are also grown. The residence and outbuildings are all in good condition, running water from never-failing springs furnishes an ample supply and there is a variety of timber. The previous owner, Josiah Bord, sold to Lyman Murdock in 1844. John H. Murdock is a native of this town and was born in 1862. He was married to Florence Walker of Moravia in 1890. He is one of the progressive young farmers of the county. His stock and machinery for all the needs of the farm being of the most improved kind. There is a fine apple orchard and a variety of smaller fruits in abundance.
