There are sixteen (16) known burying places within the borders of the Township of Fenner, only one of which (Perryville) is still active (Wyss has had only a hand full of  burials in the past few decades, the latest at the time of my survey was in 1990).  Most of these are in the category of neighborhood burial grounds, such as the Munger, Wyss, Chittenango Falls, Dougherty, Needham, and Wilson cemeteries, but there are also a number of small family plots such as the Ballou, Faulkner, Haight, and Inman, plots, and a few single graves scattered here and there.  The Perryville Cemetery is the only cemetery that is still very active in the township.  Because Fenner has very poor documentary record, in comparison to the neighboring towns of Cazenovia and even Nelson, there are surely many burial plots which have disappeared entirely except for the bones which still remain underground.  While this town has a great many of their early burying grounds very much intact there are two cemeteries, the McEvers and Ballou cemeteries, which have had their stones moved and the valuable spatial data has been destroyed.
       It is estimated that there are at least 1,694 burials in the cemeteries of the Town of Fenner.  Since Fenner's population in 1990 was 1,694 that means that there were at least 150 more dead folks than live folks!!!!!
