This page includes a list of several men who are known to be local and who served in a capacity not related to the 2nd Regiment (aka Samuel Dutton's Regiment) or the 129th Regiment (aka Elisha Farnham's Regiment) of the New York State Militia in the War of 1812.  There are clearly more men who belong on this list, but this is all that I found in my research

Jenkins, William, served as Brigadier Quarter Master in Jabish N.M. Hurd's Brigade of the NY Militia NY Militia.
Stebbins, Charles, served as Aide de Camp in Jabish N.M. Hurd's Brigade of the NY Militia.
Sternberg, Peter, served as Brigadier Major and Inspector in Jabish N.M. Hurd's Brigade of the NY Militia.
White, Jere, NY Militia, served as Servant in Jabish N.M. Hurd's Brigade of the NY Militia.
Williams, James, served as Servant in Jabish N.M. Hurd's Brigade of the NY Militia.
