So far I have transcribed
the 1805
Town of Cazenovia Assessment and the 1812
Town of Cazenovia Assessment.
In 1805 the Town of Cazenovia was within Chenango County and included all of the present towns of Cazenovia, Fenner, Nelson, Smithfield, as well as parts of Stockbridge and the northern tier of lots in DeRuyter.
By 1812
the Town of Cazenovia had attained almost its present boundaries, with
the exception that it then included what is now the western portion of
the Town of Fenner.
Tax or assessment lists also exist for 1805 and some mid-19th century
years, but I have not transcribed these yet.
