Some or all of these moved to Michigan after 1821, Auburn, Oakland County. Several others from Fleming, NY came to MI as well. Capt Robert Parks, and Elizur Goodrich served in the War of 1812-15, and Goodrich was wounded at the battle of Chippewa, July 5, 1814. Goodrich, Smith and his sons, were the original proprietors of the Village of Auburn, Michigan. Mr. Goodrich was married twice. His first wife died in NY, before he could bring her to Mich. Had 8 sons. Alanson, Zenas, Chester, David, Willard, all settled in Troy Twp, MI. Ira settled in Auburn, MI, and was a blacksmith. Elizur, JR. died in Auburn in 1825. If you have info for this family, please contact, as this is all I have for them in New York; with only a little more for Mich. Need any marriage, birth or death info.
Would also like info for Ithamar Smith. b. 1756 in Longmeadow, Mass, and died 1844. He was a Rev. War Vet. and his line is: Ithamar, s/o John; s/o John; s/o Phillip; s/o Lt. Samuel Smith. Ithamar m. Lucy Nevers/Hevers 1780. He moved from Wilbraham, Mass; to Marielius, Onondaga Co, NY; to Michigan, and was a blacksmith. Need to know how closley Ebenezer and Ithamar were related, since they both moved to same area of Michigan, along with a few hundred other Smiths from Central NY.
Some of this info came from the Oakland County Pioneer and Historical Society in Pontiac, MI. - "Alice Serrall Collection". Some info is with the DAR info held there, and some is from, "History of Oakland County". You can also write to: OCPHS, 405 Oakland Avenue, Pontiac, MI, 48342.
Thanks for any info, Kathy Abbey in Michigan, desc. of Ebenezer Smith

Surname(s): Hall
Title: Richard Hall, born 1844 in area 1860
Summary: Looking for information on Richard Hall, who was born March 1844. He was bound out between 1855 and 1860 to Samuel P. Hill of Delaware Co. NY. However, I suspect his connection was to the English family. (Samuel's first wife was Margaret English). Does anyone have any information on Richard Hall or a connection between the Hall/English families? I know they intermarried in Tompkins Co., but that seems a little far to connect to Delaware Co.
