The Holland Land Company did their survey and started selling land in 1800.  This "map" is a graphic that shows the position of lots in Gainesville, and the purchasers from 1805-1810.  The color codes show what year the lot was purchased.  Many were whole lots, but others were "part of lot".  It's interesting to notice that 60% of the lots were sold in the first six years.      This information is based on Holland Land Records, as listed in Beers, Illustrated History of Wyoming County, New York, 1841-1880, pg. 190.  The list is shown on the History page.   64 56 S.
