Eugene lived the greater part of his life at Maple Springs. His funeral was held at the Maple Springs Church. PJ: 1/9/1933: Eugene Wilcox died Sunday afternoon at Dewittville, aged 79 years. He is survived by a brother, Ray Wilcox of Gerry. Mr. Wilcox was a native of Ellery, a son of the late Joseph and Malvina Wilcox, pioneer settlers, and had lived the greater part of his life at Maple Springs. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Maple Springs Community Church. Eugene E. Wilcox md. Louise A. (__________). b. 1859. d. Feb. 4, 1931. bd. Feb. 6, 1931 Lot 276 G - 2. Joseph Wilcox had settled in the town of Charlotte in 1830. He removed to Ellery in 1845.

Abijah Clark was md. 1st to Martha "Patta" Scofield who is bd. at Dewittville Cemetery. Anna has her name on markers both at Lewis and Dewittville Cemeteries, but she is buried in Lewis Cemetery. Abijah Clark is bd. in Dewittville Cemetery and Frederick T. Williams is bd. in Lewis Cemetery.

Jamestown Journal. 4/15/1853. Frederick T. Williams died Ellery, April 3, 1853, age 35.

Newspaper clipping 1882: Clark - in Ellicott, March 15, 1882, of pneumonia, Anna H., relict of Abijah Clark, aged about 65 years. Funeral Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Bemus Point Church, remains to be interred in the Lewis Cemetery.

Jamestown Journal 12/22/1933 Mrs. Sarah Bentley - Mother of Junior High School Principal Here is Dead.....Mrs. Sarah M. Williams Bentley, widow of Gustavus A. Bentley, former resident of Fluvanna, and the mother of Gustavus E. Bentley principal of Washington Junior High School, died Friday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Richmond Harold Shreve, at Hastings, on the Hudson, after a long illness. Besides Mr. Bentley and Mrs. Shreve she is survived by another child, Wilton Bentley of Hastings, a brother, Frederick T. Williams, 20 Weeks Street, Jamestown; and seven grandchildren, Miss Ruth Bentley and Gustvus A. Bentley of Jamestown, Richmond B. Shreve, Robert and Thomas Shreve, Richard and Margaret Bentley of Hastings. Mrs. Bentley had resided with her daughter for about ten years. Mrs. Bentley had many friends in this community where she resided many years. The remains will be brought to her former home in Fluvanna for funeral services tomorrow.
